n a major breakthrough, the U.S. Marshals Service announced the recovery of 60 missing and endangered children in a multi-week operation across Florida. Dubbed “Operation Safe Summer”, the mission focused on locating minors who had been reported missing, many of whom were believed to be victims of human trafficking, abuse, or dangerous living conditions. The children ranged in age from 6 to 17, and several had been missing for months or even years. The coordinated effort involved local law enforcement agencies, child welfare services, and national task forces dedicated to recovering exploited youth. Authorities said some recoveries occurred just days before suspected traffickers could relocate the victims. The U.S. Marshals emphasized that while the operation brought dozens of children to safety, it also highlighted the urgent and ongoing need to combat child exploitation nationwide. Investigations related to some of the cases are still ongoing, and several suspects have been taken into custody.
