Royal Caribbean has announced that it will not visit its private destination, Labadee in Haiti, through at least April 2026, signaling a significant disruption to its Caribbean cruise itineraries. The decision, made “in an abundance of caution,” stems from escalating security concerns in Port-au-Prince and nearby areas. Guests who previously booked excursions to Labadee will receive a refund in the form of on-board credit via their SeaPass accounts
Port substitutions include:
-
Sea days replacing Labadee on select sailings
-
Alternative ports such as Nassau (Bahamas), Falmouth (Jamaica), Grand Turk (Turks & Caicos), and Puerto Plata (Dominican Republic) being added to itineraries
Royal Caribbean has confirmed that these adjustments will remain in place until at least May 2026, with a potential return depending on future developments
