Aces Ascend: Las Vegas Seals Dynasty with Third Title in Four Years

With a 97–86 win in Game 4 over the Phoenix Mercury, the Las Vegas Aces swept the 2025 WNBA Finals to clinch their third championship in just four seasons, firmly cementing their status as a modern basketball dynasty.

The Aces’ dominance was on full display: they never trailed in the deciding game, combining offensive firepower with defensive intensity. A’ja Wilson, once again the Finals MVP, poured in 31 points and grabbed nine rebounds, even while shooting just 7 of 21 from the field — the difference was made by her control of the game, clutch free throws (17 of 19), and leadership down the stretch.

Around her, Chelsea Gray and Jackie Young each added 18 points, while the bench — led by Dana Evans — delivered timely contributions.  Las Vegas’ efficiency was impressive: in the first half alone, they let loose on 55% shooting and committed just one turnover.

This title run is especially remarkable considering the Aces’ rocky start earlier in the season, including a devastating 53-point loss to Minnesota. But they answered critics in emphatic fashion, closing the season with a 16-game win streak and then rolling through the playoffs.

With this championship, Las Vegas now joins the ranks of NBA/WNBA great dynasties. In just four years, they’ve captured titles in 2022, 2023, and 2025 — and with a core that shows no signs of slowing, they’ve staked a claim to a lasting legacy in women’s basketball.
