A planned ambush on Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents during July 4 celebrations turned violent when suspects used AR-15-style rifles and fireworks in a coordinated attack. The incident occurred during a routine ICE operation in a residential neighborhood, where assailants reportedly used fireworks to create a distraction before opening fire. No agents were fatally injured, but several sustained minor injuries in the chaos. Ten individuals were arrested at the scene and now face a range of federal charges, including assault on federal officers and weapons violations. The FBI and Homeland Security are actively investigating the motive and whether the ambush was tied to broader anti-government or anti-immigration sentiments.
