In a dramatic Game 1 of the 2025 NBA Finals, the Indiana Pacers stunned the Oklahoma City Thunder with a 111–110 victory, thanks to a last-second jumper by Tyrese Haliburton. Trailing by 15 points in the fourth quarter, the Pacers mounted a remarkable comeback, culminating in Haliburton’s 21-foot shot with just 0.3 seconds remaining, giving Indiana its first and only lead of the game.
Haliburton’s clutch performance continues his trend of game-winning shots throughout the playoffs, having previously secured victories against Milwaukee, Cleveland, and New York. Pascal Siakam led the Pacers with 19 points and 10 rebounds, while Obi Toppin and Myles Turner added 17 and 15 points, respectively.
Despite Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s 38-point effort for the Thunder, Oklahoma City couldn’t hold off Indiana’s late surge. The Thunder, who had a 36–1 record at home when leading by 15 points, saw their advantage slip away in the final minutes.
Game 2 is scheduled for Sunday night in Oklahoma City.
