The suspect in the deadly Boulder firebomb attack, 45-year-old Mohamed Sabry Soliman, has waived his preliminary court hearing and now faces a first-degree murder charge, among others. Soliman is accused of throwing Molotov cocktails into a pro-Israel rally on June 1, injuring 12 people and ultimately leading to the death of 82-year-old Karen Diamond. He also faces federal hate crime charges for allegedly targeting the group based on religious and political motivations. With the waived hearing, Soliman’s state arraignment is set for September 9—the same day his federal trial is scheduled to begin.
