Driving a relative’s Mercedes E300, Djurkovic wove dangerously through traffic and failed to stop when pursued by a state trooper. The pursuit was terminated due to public safety concerns. Later, Djokovic admitted to police that he was speeding because he was late for a job interview. He turned himself in and faces multiple charges, including reckless driving, eluding police, and first-degree reckless endangerment. He was released on a $2,500 bond and is scheduled for arraignment on June 17.

Azmir Djurkovic, 19, was clocked hitting the crazy speed in a family member’s Mercedes E300 on I-91 south in Hartford just before 9 a.m. Wednesday, Connecticut State Police said.
When a trooper gave chase with lights and sirens, the speeding driver “failed to stop and accelerated away while making unsafe lane changes and weaving in and out of traffic,” police said.
