Josh Allen & the Bills Rise Late to Beat Dolphins, Remain Undefeated

Josh Allen showcased his leadership and composure under pressure as the Buffalo Bills rallied late to defeat the Miami Dolphins 31–21 on Thursday Night Football, maintaining their unbeaten start to the season. In a high-stakes divisional clash, Allen threw three touchdown passes, including a pivotal fourth-quarter strike to Khalil Shakir that not only gave the Bills the lead but also marked the 200th touchdown pass of Allen’s stellar career. Running back James Cook added balance to the offense, rushing for over 100 yards and scoring a key touchdown, continuing his streak of excellence. The game was tightly contested until the fourth quarter, when a costly roughing-the-punter penalty by Miami gave the Bills new life, which they quickly turned into a scoring opportunity. The Dolphins, led by Tua Tagovailoa, responded with a strong drive, but a late interception by Buffalo linebacker Terrel Bernard crushed Miami’s hopes of a comeback. With kicker Matt Prater sealing the game with a late 48-yard field goal, the Bills not only remained perfect at 3-0 but also extended their dominance over Miami, winning 13 of the last 14 regular-season meetings. The victory further cements Buffalo’s position as one of the top contenders this season, with Josh Allen continuing to prove why he’s among the elite quarterbacks in the NFL. Meanwhile, the Dolphins now face an uphill battle, sitting at 0-3 despite flashes of brilliance from their offense.
