“One Killed, Two Missing After Group Swept Over Dillon Falls in Oregon”

A tragic accident unfolded on Saturday, July 19, when a group of six people tubing near Dillon Falls on Oregon’s Deschutes River was swept over the waterfall just west of Bend. According to the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office, three were rescued and rushed to a nearby hospital, but one person was found dead at the scene. Search and rescue teams—including ground crews and aerial units—continued searching overnight and resumed at first light for the two others still missing. Authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved and advised that operations would continue into Sunday seeking any signs of the missing individuals
