Dr. Wendy Osefo, a cast member of The Real Housewives of Potomac, and her husband, Edward “Eddie” Osefo, were arrested on October 9, 2025, on multiple fraud-related charges tied to an alleged staged burglary and false insurance claims.  According to Maryland authorities, the couple claimed that designer jewelry and luxury goods had been stolen from their home during an April 2024 trip, putting the value at over $200,000.  During the investigation, officials say they found inconsistencies: some items reportedly stolen had been returned for full refunds before the theft claim, and social media evidence showed Wendy wearing a ring she later claimed was missing. Eddie faces 18 charges, including nine felonies, while Wendy faces 16 charges including seven felonies and a misdemeanor for making false statements. The Osefos were released on bond and have stated they look forward to their day in court, asking for privacy during the legal process.
