On Saturday afternoon, July 26, a 42-year-old man identified as Bradford James Gille entered a Walmart in Traverse City, Michigan and proceeded to randomly stab 11 people with a folding knife near the checkout area around 4:45 p.m. The victims—ranging in age from 29 to 84—included both men and women; six are in critical condition, and five are in serious condition, all being treated at Munson Medical Center.

⚠️ Response & Arrest:

A sheriff’s deputy arrived within minutes, and bystanders—including an armed, ex-Marine named Derrick Perry—helped subdue and detain the suspect in the parking lot. Their courageous actions prevented further harm.

🔍 Charges & Investigation:

Gille is facing 11 counts of assault with intent to murder and one terrorism charge, as prosecutors argue the attack aimed to instill fear across the community. Authorities have not yet determined a motive and say the attack appears random.  The FBI is assisting in the ongoing investigation
