Montgomery police have arrested a third suspect in connection with the deadly downtown shooting that left two people dead and several injured late Saturday night. Authorities confirmed that the suspect, identified as a 22-year-old male, was taken into custody after an extensive manhunt involving local and federal agencies. The shooting occurred near Commerce Street and Bibb Street, an area known for its busy nightlife. According to investigators, the altercation began as a verbal dispute that quickly escalated into gunfire. Police recovered multiple shell casings and firearms at the scene. The other two suspects were apprehended earlier this week, and all three now face charges of capital murder and reckless endangerment. Montgomery Police Chief Darryl Albert urged residents to remain calm, emphasizing that the city “will not tolerate acts of senseless violence.” The investigation remains ongoing as detectives work to determine the motive behind the deadly confrontation.
